The Chornorudka Grain Reception Facility was founded in 2007 when the first stone was laid for its construction. Located in Chornorudka, Berdychiv district, the facility was built over two years and began operations in 2009. Initially, it featured 10 silos, each with a capacity of 5,000 tons, allowing for the storage of up to 50,000 tons of grain. The facility started receiving its first batches of barley and wheat.
Between 2011 and 2012, the facility expanded by constructing an additional 5 silos, increasing its total storage capacity to 75,000 tons. This expansion enabled the facility to handle up to 1,500 tons of grain per day. Further expansion occurred in 2013-2014, with the addition of 3 more silos, each with a capacity of 10,000 tons, bringing the total storage capacity to 105,000 tons.
Over the years, Chornorudka HPP has handled a wide variety of grain crops, including wheat, barley, sorghum, rapeseed, soybeans, and corn. During peak seasons, the facility can process up to 4,000 tons of wheat and 3,500 tons of corn per day. Regular modernization of the equipment, including cleaning machines, conveyors, and elevators, ensures efficient grain processing and storage.
The facility also boasts a modern laboratory that performs quality control of the grain. With skilled personnel and ongoing process improvements, Chornorudka HPP guarantees high-quality grain handling and storage.
